Something unexpected and wonderful has happened.

Effective today, transgender people no longer have to reveal personal information about surgical procedures in order to receive a passport with the correct gender on it!!! Now the only thing that is necessary is a letter from the primary care physician. Additionally, government employees are not to ask embarrassing questions and must use the person's preferred gender pronouns.

This ends the discrimination against those who could not afford surgery or who elect not to have any.

I really was not expecting this to happen in America for at least 5-10 more years. Thank the Universe for the Obama Administration. When President Obama promised "change," I almost didn't dare hope he could really do it. But look at all he has accomplished, and he's only just  started!! Two terms will not be enough for this great man. In the words of Vice President Biden, "This is a big f'ing deal!!!!" ;D

America is starting to become respectable again!
