I dreamed I had a cat who was having seizures. Nobody could figure out what was wrong with it. Then the cat spoke and said, in a cat voice like you can find on various talking cat You Tube videos, "Diabetes."

REAL LIFE:
The day before yesterday I bought a Gatorade for the first time in forever. The next morning I woke up feeling so much better and clearly having lost 3 or 4 pounds of water weight. This aggravated me a little because I forgot how much Gatorade helped me, which I discovered way back when I lived in Columbus. When I was dating that one girl I let her convince me that I shouldn't drink it because of the sugar content and artificial coloring. While that is a valid concern, the benefit seems to outweigh it in this instance. As far as Diabetes, it does run in my family, and so I've been checked for it repeatedly with absolutely no sign of it. I think this dream was probably just my unconscious concerns about the sugar in the Gatorade I drank. I'm not sure why my body seems to need potassium so badly but I really need to consistently supplement with it. I don't know if it is known to help myasthenia gravis which is what I believe I've been suffering from all these years. Funny that the cat had a mystery illness :P

INTERPRETATION (via DreamMoods.com):
To dream that animals can talk, represent superior knowledge. Its message is often some form of wisdom.
(Oh crap.)

To see a cat in your dream, symbolizes an independent spirit, feminine sexuality, creativity, and power. It also represents misfortune and bad luck. (Oh crap.)

To read or watch a mystery in your dream, indicates that you need to be on the lookout for something that is out of place or out of the ordinary. Something is not what it appears to be. Be careful in your dealings. (Oh crap.)

To dream that you have a seizure, indicates a lack of control in your life. (I'm reclaiming it :P)

Today I began Phase II of the Master Plan for Basil Health. Phase I was following the Blood Type Diet for Type A, which includes no red meat or junk food and after a couple months has given me back what I can only describe as major life force points. I got so much done today!!!! I haven't felt this good in a long time. Definitely the Source Naturals Raw Thyroid supplement from New Zealand that has made the extra difference though!!! Well this in conjunction with following the strict but satisfying Blood Type Diet and taking Vitamin Code Raw Iron with a drop of Thyadine iodine supplement under the tongue has finally done the trick. I might cancel the appointment with the neurologist if my symptoms continue to lessen so dramatically.

Anyway, Phase II is growing my own organic raw food on my kitchen counter. Yes, I mean sprouts!!! It is rather amazing that you can grow food in 2-5 days which is packed full of enzymes and phytonutrients with a few seeds, water, a couple mason jars and some screened lids. I really believe this is the proper way to eat and I'm planning to eat most of my food raw (or slowly cooked at a low temp) including many, many sprouts.

Right now I've got sprouting on my counter after soaking all day: Valencia peanuts (ZOMG sprouted peanuts are my favourite thing ever and I can never find them... I don't know why I never tried making them myself), French Garden (a mix of green sprouts) and Great Beans & Rice (a mix of beans and brown rice for a low temp cooked soup) from Sproutpeople in SF. Yummmm!!!

Dear Mr. Ward:

I am writing to express my bitter disappointment that your company uses “partially hydrogenated” oil in some of your products. My child was given a Russell Stover white chocolate bunny for Easter which contains “partially hydrogenated palm oil” so we had to throw it away. These types of trans fats are not fit for human consumption due to health risks and are usually only found in cheap, inferior products that I would never consider purchasing. This is shocking considering that I believed your company to be in the business of making “fine” chocolate.

This is especially disheartening because on the very same product box was printed a letter from you that states: “We use only the finest ingredients such as real fruit, butter and sweet cream.” Unfortunately, this statement could not be considered even remotely truthful when compared to the ingredient list just below it (in much smaller print). This is unacceptable and misleading.

The fact that the item of concerned was called “white chocolate” at all is also questionable, because it contained only cheap or artificial ingredients and no cocoa butter. As of 2004, the FDA established a standard which calls for the inclusion of cocoa butter in anything labeled “white chocolate.” While I understand that this standard is not currently enforceable under U.S. law, please ask yourself if such actions are reconcilable with your corporate image of a family-owned company that hand-blends fine chocolate.

Finally, I urge you to consider your duty to the public, and especially the children who ultimately consume a large percentage of your products. There is no place for trans fat in human food and I ask you to discontinue its use in all of your products immediately.

Sincerely,

((Me))
